Where to go in 2009 Poll!!!

The results of this will be totally non-binding as those present at the 2007 Business Meeting will pick the next reunion site. However, if there is a strong preference, that will certainly weight heavily on their decision. Vote and post your thoughts!

If you need info about the areas, read this: http://www.mlrsinc.com/wherenext/index.htm

Seattle is the place to be in 09

Postby guydalrymple » Tue Jun 05, 2007 12:20 am

Seattle is a wonderful place in the late summer/early fall. Contrary to what we tell the Californians, it doesn't rain here ALL the time. We also have some awesome military history with the 5 Navy facilities on Puget Sound. The USS Turner Joy is a great floating museam, and the Museam of Flight is first rate.

I think that it would be great to have it in the Great Northwest. I think that there are probably a lot of England shipmates up this way.

We've about 58 of them in Washington total as On Line Crew.

38 in Arizona! Plus So. Cal. can get there easily.

We'd 246 in California, 53 of which are in San Diego alone, 15 more in Chula Vista . . .

I vote for Colorado Springs - Air Force Academy and Rocky Mountains. We are interested in places that have some significance to our nation - others we would be interested in are Chicago (Great Lakes Training Facility where many of us got our feet wet), Hawaii (Pearl Harbor) etc.

Personally I am liking Seattle. There is a ton of things to do, the USS Turner Joy is in Bremerton, lots of sports, concerts, etc and on the greedy side, I live there :)

2009 Location

PacNorWest is beautiful in the summer and has a lot to offer.
Colo Springs is also beautiful and centrally located.
They both split my vote!

2009 Reunion

Postby Richard Madison » Tue Jun 05, 2007 11:19 pm

My vote is for Seattle. It's the right time of year and the right place. The USS England is a good excuse for a visit.
