The Allens in Jacksonville Florida think the Mac sounds great and we like all the plans we are hearing about. We are thinking about renting a car in St. Louis and driving to Branson for a visit and then back to St. Louis to fly home. If we fly out to St. Louis for the reunion we would want to spend more than a couple of days. If anyone else would like that we could see about a side trip after the reunion. But, whatever that brings, count us in for the reunion (Lord willing).

We are extremely happy that someone has picked up the ball on the reunion. We will plan to attend if it is not from June 18th through July 2nd. Thanks again.

After checking info on both places out, we are thinking the Millennium looks like the best place. At $77a night and $7 parking, we are pretty close to even. Both the Arch and the Stadium are in closer proximity than the MAC. MAC looks like an interesting place, but probably more than we need for 2 nights. This is the one we'd be in favor of.

The Missouri Athletic Club finally replied to my email. They only have 35-40 rooms available.
In the past we've needed an average of 50. Their rep still didn't answer several other questions
I had asked about. I get the feeling that they're just not that interested in our business. The
Millennium on the other hand has been very active in answering my questions and responding
to my emails. Given the choice, unless someone has an objection, I will pursue arrangements
with the St. Louis Millennium Hotel for our 2012 reunion.

Count the Hellers in of the reunion in June. As a native from St. Louis, my vote is for the Missouri Athletic Club. It is probably the premier social club for business men in STL. I believe everyone would be well served by this location. For the 2011 reunion, I had been in touch with Ms. Brown and found out that there are shuttle busses that take you around the city of STL. If there is a charge to ride, it is nominal. If you need someone to cater the picnic at the Barracks, I know several local caterers that would be more than willing to do the event. One of them provides the fixin's for organizations that want to have fund raising BBQ's. RJ, You may contact me at j_f_heller@sbcglobal.com and I can give you more info/ideas if you want.

Hi,
Either would be great. I was thinking that we would not need that many rooms for this reunion and that is why I favored the MAC. But if they have anything else booked for that weekend, I can see how they may not be receptive to a large group.

Reunion update;
Things are coming together and I should have a full schedule
and proposal for everyone early next week so you can discuss
things over the holidays. Does anyone have a problem with
riding a school bus for a couple of miles? The best transportation
offer for the Budweiser Brewery complex tour is by big yellow
school bus. It was a difference of about $200 vs $1500+ for a
tour bus and $400 for a trolley. the trolley sounded cool but,
I'd rather spend my money on other things, like maybe souvenirs
or food.

This sounds good to us! How do we register, or is that necessary? How do we get tickets for the Cards? It looks like you have done a lot of work and it will be a fun time. I hope a lot of the shipmates take part in it. Thank you, Randle

I'm still working on the Cardinals Tickets. So far I've been told that
they don't have single game tickets available yet. However, Courtney
Brown from Explore St. Louis has provided me with a couple more of
her contacts with the Cardinal organization. I'll post details at a later
date as I get this worked out.
